Beloved Deputy wins!!!

March 14, 2010 · By · Share

Dominant.  That's a word we love to use when describing a horse's effort.  That's the word we can use when describing Beloved Deputy's comeback race at Golden Gate.  Facing five foes, Beloved Deputy sat just off the lead early before assuming the lead on the turn and drawing away in the stretch to win by over three-lengths.

Trainer Craig Dollase said, "I think it's safe to say she dominated that field off the layoff.  It ended up being a great spot, and she was much better than the others.  She just outclassed them.  Hopefully this will get her tighter and give her some confidence as we step back up against winners."

Jockey Russell Baze said, "This filly was a real professional.  She's a push button horse.  I sat on her and when I asked her to go she took off.  It was never in doubt."

A four-year-old daughter of Silver Deputy, Beloved Deputy will make her next start at Santa Anita or Hollywood in April.
