Mine For Love Wins!

October 28, 2010 · By · Share

Tuesday was a beautiful fall day at Parx Racing. About twenty West Point partners were out at the track to watch their three-year-old son of Not For Love score his second career victory. In a field of six, Mine For Love was sent off at odds of 6-1. He broke very well and settled just off the frontrunners down the backside before launching a huge bid entering the turn. He took command at the head of the stretch, and never looked back, scoring by 5 lengths in 1:09.97.

Trainer Guadalupe Preciado said, "He ran like he has@trained all along. I always knew he had a race like this in him. We know he likes to be in the clear outside. He is still learning and I think he is going to get better. He was able to relax early and then kick home. This was a nice win."

Jockey Jose Flores said, "My horse broke very well. I let those two horses go for the lead, and I just wanted behind them. When I asked him for a move, he took off. I just had to keep him focused."

Mine For Love earned $18,000 for the victory. Look for him back in action in November. Congratulations to his Partners!
