August 08, 2011 · By Erin Birkenhauer · Share

Quality Lass proved she is a quality filly with an ultra impressive seven length romp on Saturday at Woodbine. Off as the favorite in the field of twelve, our Canadian bred daughter of Exclusive Quality quickly took command and never looked back, scoring by seven lengths on the wire under jockey Patrick Husbands.

Quality Lass earned an impressive 81 Beyer Speed Figure. The future looks bright.

Trainer Mark Casse said, “We’ve always liked this filly. She’s a high energy, athletic horse and there is a lot to like about her. We’ve got some options now after such a dominating performance.”

“The Canadian bred program is lucrative, and we’re happy to be a part of it,” said WPT President Terry Finley. “Buzz (Chace) and I loved this filly at the sale, and we’re excited to see what’s in store for her future. Much thanks to all the Partners for their support.”

Quality Lass’ next start will be determined within the next few weeks. She will likely compete against stakes company being she ran so well in this race.
