Attend Saratoga Luncheon and Win an Interest in Flashy in Pink
SARATOGA SPRINGS - An interest in Flashy in Pink, a 2-year-old filly trained by Todd Pletcher and owned by a West Point Thoroughbreds partnership, will be on the auction block Friday, Aug. 19, at Saratoga Race Course to benefit The Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF).
A 1% interest in the precocious daughter of Flashy Bull, who finished third in her debut at Saratoga on Aug. 4, will be among the donated silent auction items included at an event that is the centerpiece of “Fabulous Fillies Day,” the “Sizzling Hot Pink Saratoga Hat Luncheon.”
“Flashy in Pink is a partnership for a cause,” said West Point Chief Administrative Officer Debbie Finley. “From her gross career winnings, 2.5 percent plus a 2.5 percent match from West Point Thoroughbreds will be donated to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Supporting the New York Racing Association in their efforts to raise funds for the program is yet another difference this filly will make early on in her career.”
Fabulous Fillies Day includes a number of special events and activities at the track designed to honor the extraordinary women of the Thoroughbred industry while raising funds to support breast cancer research. The luncheon, which features notable guest speakers and honorees, the silent auction, and a fashion presentation, will be held in the Upper Carousel at Saratoga Race Course. Tickets, $150 per person, may be purchased by contacting NYRA Director of Community Relations Joanne K. Adams by phone at 718-659-2262 or via email at [email protected].
