Belle of the Hall Looks For Third Gulfstream Win in Saturday's Inside Information
Belle of the Hall joins a field of 11 salty fillies and mares in Saturday’s Inside Information Stakes (G2) at Gulfstream Park. Our 5-year-old daughter of Graeme Hall worked an easy four furlongs in 51:92 on Wednesday morning in preparation for the seven-furlong sprint.
“This is a tough bunch but there’s a decent amount of speed, which plays to our advantage,” trainer Tom Albertrani said. “She’s been back in good form this year and her past two races have been nothing to be ashamed of.”
“It would be great to get that graded stakes victory on her resume,” said West Point Thoroughbreds founder and president Terry Finley. “She’s a hard-trying mare and we know she has the ability if she gets the right pace setup.”
Many of the runners from Belle’s last start - the Feb. 19 Hurricane Bertie Stakes (G3) - have doubled back to take a shot here. Among them are Hurricane Bertie winner R Holiday Mood, runner-up Funny Sunny, and third-place finisher Her Smile. Belle ran fourth in that race off a Jan. 20 allowance victory at Gulfstream.
The Inside Information Stakes is race 10 at Gulfstream on Saturday, with an approximate post time of 5:35 p.m. ET. Jockey Elvis Trujillo is aboard once again in pursuit of a purse worth $150,000. Good luck to Belle and her Partners tomorrow!
