Rock Me Baby Wins at First Asking
WPT’s Rock Me Baby would not be denied in his first start on December 13 at Hollywood, winning by nearly two lengths under jockey Edwin Maldonado.
Trained by Craig Dollase, the 3-year-old son of Rock Hard Ten is a later-developing sort who we had to be patient with since purchase at the Barretts March Sale last year.
“We’ve always liked this horse,” said WPT president Terry Finley. “He had some physical issues that prevented him from making to the races earlier, but our patience was rewarded with such a strong first out effort. Craig (Dollase) and his team have done a great job with him. With his pedigree, we may think about stretching out in distance.”
A California-bred, Rock Me Baby is now eligible for starter allowance races.
Congratulations to his Partners!
