Kanagaro Wins Again at Presque Isle

Kanagaro (red cap) swings wide and wins by a comfortable three lengths

Kanagaro made it two in a row last night at Presque Isle Downs for trainer Graham Motion. Off as the favorite in the one mile allowance event, the 5-year-old son of Indian Charlie stalked the pace three wide down the backside before swinging six wide on the turn and drawing away by a comfortable three lengths.

Take a look at the race chart -- it was a numerical order of finish.

Kanagaro is now two for three over a synthetic surface. He has a record of 3-3-8 from 19 career starts and earnings over $150,000.

“He was knocking on the door to break through this condition for quite some time,” said WPT president Terry Finley. “The competition at NYRA tracks and places like Gulfstream is very tough, so this winter we decided to try something different and campaign him in the Midatlantic. He’s certainly bred to love the synthetic being by Indian Charlie out of a Sir Cat mare.”

Kanagaro is a half brother to the multiple graded stakes winner Last Gunfighter.
