School On A Hill Looks to Stamp Ticket to Breeders' Cup in Summer (G2)

West Point Thoroughbreds acquired an interest in promising 2-year-old School On a Hill last week. Fresh off a polished maiden score on the turf on August 22 at Arlington Park, the son of Student Council is now in the barn of trainer Wayne Catalano.

He's headed to Canada for his stakes debut in the $200,000 Summer Stakes (G2) run at one mile on the turf on Saturday at Woodbine. The Summer is part of the Breeders' Cup "Win and You're In" Challenge Series.

“We know this colt’s sire, Student Council, very well,” said Terry Finley. “He just edged Awesome Gem in the 2007 Pacific Classic at Del Mar and was a very solid racehorse who won two grade ones and ran until he was six. School On a Hill was 46-1 in his debut, but made it look easy. He’s bred to run all day and our goal is to get him to the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf.”

The Summer is race 9 on Saturday's card at Woodbine with a 4:53 ET post time. Emma Jayne Wilson has the call.
