Just got back from Ocala and our annual two year-old gala at David McKathan's farm. Over fifty partners and guests got a chance to break bread together on Friday night following by a morning on the farm viewing the new stable prospects in action on the track.
Lotsa sunshine, lotsa interest, twenty nice racing prospects and an enjoyable time for all...
Looks like we will be second choice in the Oaks with Dixie. Rachlel Alexandra was very impressive today at Oaklawn in the Fantasy. She'll be tough to handle but I know she hasn't faced any other filly nearly as talented Justwhistledixie over the last four races. The Kentucky Oaks is the most prestigious race in world for three year-old fillies. A little less than four weeks away - the first Friday in May. Lets line them up and see who's best...
Headed to Kentucky on Monday morning for two days of sales (Monday and Tuesday nights for the Keeneland Two Year-old Sales). Leave Kentucky on Wednesday for a three days in California and the Peacefield Event. Take the redeye home on Saturday night and arrive in Jersey in time for Easter festivities on Sunday morning.
This train never stops - and that's the way we like it.
Have a good week.
