West Point Thoroughbred’s hard working six year old colt Smokin’ John won

West Point Thoroughbred’s hard working six year old colt Smokin’ John won again on October 26th at Keeneland. He won going one and one eighth miles on the dirt and was claimed by trainer William D. Cowans.  This was Smokin’ John’s second straight win and 7th career win in 21 starts. He earned $13,640 for his effort bringing his career earning to $192,046. Smokin’ John was a real warrior who alway showed up to run for trainer Dallas Stewart. He will be missed and we wish his new connections the best of luck.
