“This is one of the most unlucky horses I’ve trained,” said Romans. “With just a little bit of racing luck, he’s probably a five time winner by now. He’s a big, sound horse who tries hard and has run some very good numbers in his career.”

“After his allowance race at Saratoga, the Greenwood Cup immediately popped into our minds,” said WPT president Terry Finley. “His strong suit is stamina, not speed, and even going a mile and an an eighth, the jock has to use him to stay in the race. We’re hoping he can just settle into a rhythm before grinding it out late.”

Post time for race 9 is 4:12 ET. Suns Out Guns Out breaks from post seven in the seven horse field with Robby Albarado in the irons.
