The Thoroughbred industry is something I was born into. I had the incredible experience of growing up in Dubai and England where my father began training horses for Godolphin Racing Stables. However, the moment this sport really captivated me was when my father won the Preakness stakes in 2006 with Bernardini. I was only 12-years-old, but I knew from that moment on horse racing would be a passion of mine. To me, there is no other type of serenity like being around the Thoroughbred horses, or no other excitement like watching their competitive spirit. I love interacting with these beautiful animals that give inspiration and joy to people in many different ways.
I graduated Kellenberg Memorial High School in Uniondale, NY I spent one year at Palm Beach Atlantic University, FL., then moved on from there to graduate SUNY Albany with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications. I studied abroad my Fall semester senior year in Florence, Italy and had the privilege of traveling all over Europe during this time.
For 6 years, during my high school and college summers I worked for NYRA in the Horsemen’s Relations department. I assisted with accommodating horsemen with racetrack seating, dining, and hotel reservations, along with Winner’s Circle trophy presentations.
Following college in the fall, I moved to Lexington, KY. to intern for Darley Stud where I assisted with their Marketing and Events team to plan parties and events for their stallion breeders and clients. Shortly after, I interned at Gulfstream Park, FL. in the Events and Catering department. I assisted with “Day at the Races” events which allowed racing fans to experience a VIP tour and gain insights about the Thoroughbred industry.
Thoughts about my job:
I am thrilled to become a part of the West Point Thoroughbreds team. I am fortunate to be involved in an industry that I have a great passion for. I look forward to accommodating our clients and experiencing the excitement of this incredible sport alongside them.
