Twilight Eclipse Looks For Second Graded Stakes Win in Pan American (G2) / Friday, March 22, 2013

West Point Thoroughbreds’ grade two winner Twilight Eclipse takes on nine in Saturday's $150,000 Pan American Stakes (G2) run at 1 1/2 miles on the turf at Gulfstream Park. Leading jockey Javier Castellano climbs aboard for the first time.
 

Our son of Purim added a graded stakes win to his resume with a win in the W.L. McKnight Handicap (G2) at Calder in November. He finished fourth in his 2013 debut — the Mac Diarmda on February 16 at Gulfstream.

"It wasn't a bad race," said trainer Tom Albertrani of the Mac Diarmida. "He's done well and improved since then. They called the ground 'good' that day, but I think it was softer than that, which he doesn't care for. We'll hope for a firm course on Saturday.”
