Following the Pan American, the 4-year-old gelded son of Purim was fifth in the Manhattan (G1) and second in the Man O’War (G1) behind Boisterous.

Both races were contested on soggy ground, and this horse will appreciate a return to firm footing.

“It’s a solid group, but if he runs back to his Gulfstream race – and it looks like we’ll be on firmer ground this week – it makes him that much tougher,” says trainer Tom Albertrani. “Gulfstream Park that day was really firm, so that is what he likes. The horse looks great. I like how he’s going into the race. He’s in great, great form.”

Twilight Eclipse has earnings of $379,611 in earnings and four wins from 10 lifetime starts. The Sword Dancer is race 9 on Saturday’s card with a post time of 5:12 ET. The world record holder breaks from post four in the 13 horse field.
