An ultimate Kentucky Derby experience package co-sponsored by West Point Thoroughbreds raised $30,000 for the American Heart Association at their Fire and Ice Ball on February 4th in Seattle.

The package included flight via private jet to Louisville, hotel accomodations for three nights, dinner on Thursday night, a tour of the Churchill Downs backstretch to see the Derby contenders, a guided tour of a famous Kentucky breeding farm, and tickets to the Kentucky Derby.

West Point President Terry Finley said, “One of our missions is to give back to the community.  We have all been very fortunate, and we believe in supporting suh good causes.  There’s probably not one of us that hasn’t been personally touched by someone suffering a heart ailment of one sort or another or a stroke.  Anything we can do to help fight these ailments, we will.”
