The Romans team has done a great job of campaigning West Point runners throughout the years, and it was just like Dale to provide the second-largest win mutuel in the history of the Breeders’ Cup – Court Vision’s $131.60 payoff on a $2 ticket coming second only to Arcangues’ $269.20 in the 1993 Classic

Court Vision came to the Romans barn late this summer at Saratoga after being purchased by B. Wayne Hughes’ Spendthrift Farm and ran seventh in the Woodbine Mile on Sept. 18 in his only previous start for the new connections. He hadn’t won since taking the 2010 edition of the Woodbine Mile when trained by Rick Dutrow for IEAH Stables.
Kudos to the entire team for bringing an old campaigner back to greatness!
