2024 Belmont Stakes Festival

Experience a unique twist to Belmont Stakes Day this year in Saratoga Springs!

On Saturday, June 8, join WPT for the 156th running of the Belmont. This special event is part of a four-day Festival of racing, spanning from Thursday, June 9 to Sunday, June 9. If you’re considering attending, refer to the guide below for helpful tips to plan your trip.

Admission and Parking

Due to high demand from full-season ticket holders at Saratoga and Belmont, NYRA was unable to accommodate our request for a block of tickets. While Partners will not be able to purchase seats through WPT for the Belmont Festival, we are here to answer any of your questions regarding ticket options.

Tickets will go on sale to the public on February 15 at 10am EST. Explore ticket options and pricing ahead of time:

Parking will not be included with tickets, and may be purchased in advance or on a first come, first served basis day-of. Shuttle service will be available from parking areas to the track entrance.

For pre-sale ticket access, previous NYRA patrons will receive a promo code via email. Pre-sale will take place February 14 from 12:00pm – 11:59pm EST. To sign up for access, subscribe to the Belmont Newsletter.

A note regarding NY Owner’s Credentials:
Owner’s badges will not be valid for admission on Friday, 6/7 or Saturday, 6/8. Tickets must be purchased for each of those days. Badges will be valid for General Admission for the badge-holder only (no family badges will be honored) on Thursday, 6/6 and Sunday, 6/9. Additionally, there will be no owner’s parking for the entirety of the Festival. Parking must be purchased separately.

Transportation and Accommodations

The most convenient airport to Saratoga is Albany International. Saratoga is a very Uber and Lyft-friendly town; however, given the expected volume of attendees, demand for rideshare options may be greater than usual. Expect to plan for long wait times, or look into rental car options!

Hotels in the area are already filling up – we recommend booking accommodations as soon as possible. Below are some WPT recommendations central to downtown:

Other areas to search would be nearby towns such as Ballston Spa, Clifton Park, Glens Falls, and Malta. Additionally, we highly recommend Airbnb or Vrbo.

OpenTable and Resy are great sites to help choose a spot to eat, and many restaurants are already taking reservations for Belmont Festival week. If you have any particular favorites, we recommend calling ahead soon to secure a table! Need inspiration? Here is a list of top restaurants.
