Two-year-old colt Keep It Easy did just that in an impressive maiden win Thursday at Churchill Downs.
The Hard Spun colt was sharp out of the gate for jockey Martin Chuan, contesting the lead along the inside and kicked away powerfully in the stretch to prevail by 4 lengths in his second career start.
Dale Romans trains Keep It Easy for racing partners West Point, St. Elias Stables and CJ Thoroughbreds. He was acquired at the Keeneland September yearling sale.
Keep It Easy will likely head to Saratoga for a Graded stakes target this summer.
