Building on our partnership with the excellent Christophe Clement barn, which has delivered major recent successes for the West Point stable via Breeders’ Cup-bound runners Parnac and Carson’s Run, we came in with the Clement stable on a standout Liam’s Map colt to kick off the second week of the Keeneland September Sale.
Christophe said, “I love Liam’s Map, and he was a star yearling, the most athletic horse on that day I looked at him at Keeneland. Physically he is a remarkably good-looking colt. As of this day I think he is the best-looking yearling that we have coming to our barn.”

Hip 2290 is by the brilliant multiple Grade I winner who’s been represented by 17 stakes winners, including Grade I conquerors Colonel Liam, Juju’s Map, Basin, and Wicked Whisper. Out of a Street Sense dam who was a winner at two, this dark bay colt is from the female family of multiple Grade I winner and $4.5 million earner Behrens, as well as the brilliant Grade I winner and multimillionaire Commentator. His second dam Lemonette adds plenty of stamina, turf influence, and longevity, as she was a stakes winner and multiple graded stakes placed in marathon turf races as a 6-year-old.
Raised at Lane’s End’s world-class nursery, Hip 2290 is an imposing colt with a well-defined shoulder and nicely balanced topline. His pedigree provides brilliant, precocious speed on the sire line with two-turn prowess on the dam side. There will be limited availability on him, so act quickly and reach out to your WPT representative if interested.
Syndication price includes all veterinary, training, acquisition, and legal costs until January 1, 2025.
