Atomic Blonde and Happy Am I will represent the West Point roster with stakes assignments over the holiday weekend at Churchill Downs in Louisville.
Atomic Blonde is up first on Saturday, racing for $225,000 in the Keertana Stakes, going long on the turf with jockey Tyler Gaffalione on board for the first time.
Trained by Christophe Clement, the German import finished second in the Grade 3 Bewitch Stakes at Keeneland in her first race of the year. A Group stakes winner in Europe, Atomic Blonde has hit the board in five stakes since arriving to the Clement barn.
Happy Am I is signed on for the $250,000 Winning Colors Stakes on the Memorial Day card Monday. The 4-year-old filly is coming off an excellent third-place finish in the Roxelana Stakes on opening night at Churchill on April 27 in her first stakes appearance, on the heels of three straight wins.
Brian Hernandez Jr. will guide Happy Am I for trainer Dallas Stewart.
