Pascaline In Spotlight on Opening Day at Monmouth / Friday, May 9, 2025

Pascaline and Victor Carrasco after a debut victory last August.

Monmouth Park ushers in a new season on the Jersey Shore with Pascaline as the likely favorite for the Long Beach Stakes on opening day Saturday.

Pascaline began his 3-year-old campaign with a close third-place finish in the Bay Shore Stakes at Aqueduct on April 19. Jockey Victor Carrasco will renew their combination that was victorious last fall in the Laurel Futurity.

Trained by Arnaud Delacour, Pascaline stretches out around two turns for the first time in the Long Beach at a mile and 70 yards.

Pascaline is an American-bred son of Upstart, with West Point tracking him down through bloodstock agent Kip Elser at the Tattersalls Craven sale of two-year-olds in training in England.
