Last July, Gal in a Rush rushed home from last place to land her first Graded stakes victory in the Hendrie Stakes at Woodbine. On Saturday, she will defend her title in the Grade 3 event on the Tapeta track surface.
Gal in Rush is listed at 7-to-2 on the morning line for new trainer Miguel Clement, carrying on with the 6-year-old mare following the death of his father, Christophe. Miguel has worked closely with Gal in a Rush throughout her career earning stakes credentials at 2, 3, 4, 5 and now 6 for West Point and co-owners Chris Larsen and Titletown Racing Stable.
Eric Cancel will travel up from New York to pilot Gal in a Rush. Eric rode a stakes winner for Miguel Clement at Woodbine two weeks ago.
