A Saturday Del Mar Double / Wednesday, August 13, 2025

The West Coast crew of West Point Thoroughbreds flexed its muscle with a Saturday double at Del Mar from Final Boss in a high-class allowance and Christel Clean in a debut victory.

Final Boss scored for the second time in his last three races. Winner of the Cinema Stakes in 2024, he will return to stakes company in a Graded event near the end of the Del Mar meet.

California-bred Christel Clean aced her unveiling, pouring it on through the stretch to win by 3 1/2 lengths underneath jockey Hector Berrios. West Point campaigns the 3-year-old filly in company with Spartan Equine Racing.

Trainer John Sadler trains both of them and has Indispensable gearing up for the $1-million Pacific Classic (G1) on August 30 for West Point and co-owner Michael Talla.
