Cajun Gold led the charge for West Point this weekend with a front-running maiden victory on the turf at Gulfstream Park on Friday afternoon.

The Florida-bred 4-year-old scored in his first start as a gelding, responding to a bold ride from jockey Yolber Torres for trainer Heather Smullen.

Cajun Gold broke through after previous second-place finishes. He was acquired at the 2024 OBS March sale of two-year-olds in training.
