Les Reys Eyes Ontario Fashion Defense / Friday, October 16, 2026

Les Reys winning the 2025 Grade 3 Ontario Fashion Stakes.

Les Reys returns to Woodbine on Saturday to defend her title in the $150,000 Ontario Fashion Stakes (G3), a six-furlong sprint on the all-weather track. The 5-year-old mare is 7-2 on the morning line in a field of 10, with Emma-Jayne Wilson, Canada’s all-time winningest female jockey, taking the reins for the first time.

Trainer Miguel Clement has been monitoring Les Reys closely following two stakes appearances just six days apart last month and gave her a last-minute green light to return to Toronto. Among her rivals is Creed’s Gold, who captured the Hendrie Stakes (G3) for the second consecutive year on July 25.

Willpowered also received the go-ahead from Clement for a new challenge Saturday, stretching out to two miles on the turf in the John Forbes Memorial Stakes at Far Hills, New Jersey. The 4-year-old gelding will compete in a flat race on one of the country’s premier steeplechase programs, where the jockeys come from the jump-racing circuit and carry considerably higher weights than in conventional flat racing.

Harrison Beswick will ride Willpowered from post 4 in a field of 13. The race will be televised live as part of America’s Day at the Races coverage.
