Swot Analysis and Western Command teamed up for a nice West Point double on Thursday at Fair Grounds in New Orleans.
Big performances at Fair Grounds were nothing new for Swot Analysis, who delivered as a 2/5 favorite in a Louisiana-bred allowance with steady handling from jockey Reylu Gutierrez. This was Swot Analysis’ third win at the New Orleans track for trainer Mark Casse going back to 2020. The gray gelding has placed in two stakes and will eye a breakthrough at the stakes level in 2023.
West Point campaigns Swot Analysis in a racing partnership with DJ Stable and Cash Is King Stable.
Earlier Thursday, Western Command loomed large going into the far turn and powered through the stretch to score his first career win for trainer Greg Foley. Edgar Morales guided the 3-year-old son of West Coast.
Western Command comes from the same female family of West Point’s 2014 Kentucky Derby runner-up Commanding Curve. He races for WPT, Terry Stephens and Stable 71.
