Besides Reagan’s Honor in New Orleans this week, West Point also had Creed’s Vision flirting with a track record in a tour-de-force maiden win on Saturday at Tampa Bay Downs.
The 4-year-old gelding soared through six furlongs in 1:09 flat with jockey Charlie Marquez up for trainer Arnaud Delacour.
Creed’s Vision earned an 89 Beyer and a 7 on the Ragozin Sheeets, which is stakes quality. As a Maryland-bed, he will have plenty of options from Arnaud’s main base at Fair Hill Training Center in Elkton, Md.
The son of Jimmy Creed was a $115,000 purchase at the 2024 OBS spring sale of two-year-olds in training, from the consignment of David McKathan’s Grassroots Training and Sales. He follows in the hoofprints of another Maryland-bred, Jaxon Traveler, who also came from McKathan’s consignment and was plucked by West Point bloodstock agent David Ingordo out of the OBS spring sale. Jaxon Traveler went on to win at least one stakes race in six consecutive seasons and earned more than $1-million.
West Point campaigns Creed’s Vision with Michael Lyden and CJ Stables.
