A Graded stakes winner last year, Dontlookbackatall is 5-to-2 on the morning line as she bids for her first victory of 2025 in Saturday’s $150,000 Floral Park Stakes at Belmont at the Big A.
The 5-year-old mare is coming off a second-place finish in the Smart and Fancy Stakes at Saratoga for trainer Miguel Clement and jockey Manny Franco, who will be back aboard in a field of 9.
“Manny [Franco] rode a brilliant race last time,” Clement said to Daily Racing Form. “She’s been a bit slow to get to her form this year. I thought she ran a great race last time, it took a very good filly to beat us. She’s been training forwardly, I’m looking forward to running her.”
Franco also rides a couple of West Point 2-year-olds on Saturday at the Big A: British Invasion (3-to-1) going two turns on the turf, coming off a second-place debut; and Abrigado (2-to-1), who switches to the grass for trainer Brad Cox after an unplaced debut on the main track.
At Monmouth Park, Dripping Gold will go for his first stakes triumph, traversing a mile and a half on the grass in the Presious Passion with Samy Camacho aboard for Hall of Fame trainer Shug McGaughey. Dripping Gold scored his fourth career win on August 20 at Colonial and is on the brink of $500,000 in earnings.
