Dontlookbackatall led home a 1-2 finish for West Point Thoroughbreds and trainer Christophe Clement on Sunday in the $150,000 License Fee Stakes at Belmont at the Big A.
A dark bay filly with a distinctive white blaze, Dontlookbackatall scored her first stakes win, holding off stablemate Gal in a Rush by a neck. Irad Ortiz piloted Dontlookbackatall in Irad’s third stakes win of the week for West Point Thoroughbreds, joining O Besos (St. Matthews Overnight at Churchill on Thursday) and Vahva (Grade 1 Derby City Distaff at Churchill on Saturday).
Acquired for $150,000 at the 2022 OBS March sale of two-year-olds in training, Dontlookbackatall has been first or second in nine of her 11 career starts and has earned $319,690. She is a candidate for the $200,000 Intercontinental Stakes (G2T) on Friday, June 7 during the Belmont Stakes Festival at Saratoga Race Course.
