Wrapping up her career at age 6, Gal in a Rush achieved a new peak Friday night with a Grade 2 victory in the Masters Stakes at Presque Isle. A vintage, well-timed ride from Joel Rosario, diving down toward the rail in stretch and she responded with a rush.
“Sometimes she takes a little time to kind of get going,” Rosario said. “For a second, turning for home, I thought I was going to go between horses.”
Miguel Clement trains Gal in a Rush for West Point Thoroughbreds, Chris Larsen and Titletown Racing Stable.
We’ve had a blast with this Ghostzapper mare as a consistent stakes performer over five seasons for Miguel and his late father Christophe. She also won the Hendrie Stakes (G3) at Woodbine in 2024 and owns 5 victories overall and 11 placings from 24 career starts, with earnings of $661,257.
