The Thoroughbred racing industry needs your help. Let me explain.
The Supreme Court recently voted to give states the ability to legalize sports gambling. Our sport needs to be prepared for both new opportunities and new competition.
Make no mistake – as New York racing goes so goes racing in North America. That’s why I’m asking all our Partners to help effect change in Albany. I chair the New York Thoroughbred Horsemen’s Association (NYTHA) Political Action Committee (PAC) which provides bipartisan support to state elected officials working on issues that affect the New York racing industry.

A bigger PAC opens more doors of power. And we know we have a great story to tell state legislators. The Legislature is currently in session, so time-is-of-the-essence to be a stronger force in the capital.
On our agenda this year: ensuring Thoroughbred racing is given proper consideration and protections regarding sports betting and the expansion of casino licenses, protecting Video Lottery Terminal revenue critical to purse support, increasing equine welfare, and more.
