West Point is proud to partner in an elite investment fund created to acquire well-bred colts at the prestigious Saratoga and Keeneland yearling sales. Each colt was hand-selected by world-class bloodstock agent David Ingordo and will be developed under the guidance of multiple Grade 1-winning trainer Cherie DeVaux.
Each horse is syndicated individually, with West Point maintaining a 15% ownership position in every colt within the fund. This structure provides Partners with rare access to blue-chip prospects while offering the opportunity to diversify their equine portfolios strategically.
The West Point team added a colt by Curlin, two-time Horse of the Year and one of the most important stallions of his generation. Curlin earned over $10.5 million on the racetrack, capturing the Preakness Stakes (G1), Breeders’ Cup Classic (G1), Dubai World Cup (G1), and Jockey Club Gold Cup (G1) twice. At stud, he has sired more than 100 stakes winners and progeny with earnings of over $164 million, including grade one winners Vino Rosso, Journalism, Malathaat, Cody’s Wish, and Elite Power. His runners are renowned for their stamina, class, and soundness at the highest level.
The colt’s female family is equally elite. His dam, Always On My Mind (by Congrats), was a three-time winner who has already produced a winner on the track. She is the daughter of Without You Babe, one of the world’s most influential broodmares. Without You Babe has produced no fewer than four graded stakes winners:
This colt’s pedigree also connects him to Stay Thirsty, Travers Stakes (G1) winner and sire of champions. It is a family steeped in toughness and black-type success across both dirt and turf, sprinting and routing.
From a physical standpoint, this colt has the imposing frame and athletic presence typical of Curlin’s best sons. He is bred to improve with age and distance while still having the pedigree to show quality at two.
The colt will be trained by Cherie DeVaux, who has quickly risen to the top ranks of conditioners with a Breeders’ Cup win on the turf to her credit. She conditions several stakes quality horses for West Point, including grade one winner Vahva and stakes winners Northern Invader and Reagan’s Wit.
Price includes all acquisition costs and all training, veterinary, and insurance expenses until January 1, 2026.
