    • From first crop of hot young sire Drain the Clock

    • Heading to trainer Miguel Clement

    • Eligible for lucrative PA-bred program

This dark bay/brown colt by first-crop sire Drain the Clock brings together elite sprint speed, a proven female family, and the added appeal of Pennsylvania-bred eligibility. Purchased at the Fasig-Tipton Midlantic 2-Year-Olds in Training Sale, he offers an exciting blend of precocity, athleticism, and long-term upside.

Drain the Clock was a brilliant multiple graded stakes-winning sprinter who captured the Woody Stephens Stakes (G1), Swale Stakes (G3), and Bay Shore Stakes (G3) while earning nearly $700,000 on the racetrack. His determined win over Jackie’s Warrior in the Woody Stephens on Belmont Day is one of the most exciting races of this decade. A son of Maclean’s Music, he offers one of the most exciting young speed influences in the market.

This colt is out of Dakota Ready, a daughter of outstanding broodmare sire More Than Ready, whose influence continues to grow through elite runners around the world. More Than Ready has become one of the most reliable broodmare sires in the industry, with his daughters producing top-level performers, including Grade 1 winner and Eclipse Award champion She Feels Pretty, among numerous other graded stakes winners.

The female family offers plenty of proven class and toughness. His third dam produced Pants On Fire, who won the Louisiana Derby (G2) along with seven other stakes and earned more than $1.6 million.

As a Pennsylvania-bred, this colt also has access to one of the most attractive state-bred programs in the country, providing valuable opportunities for restricted purses and incentive-rich racing options throughout his career.

He will be trained by Miguel Clement. West Point Partners know Miguel well through Pennsylvania-bred fan favorite Dontlookbackatall, who earned more than $700,000 while winning graded stakes at Saratoga and also taking advantage of the state-bred program.

Miguel has been involved with numerous West Point graded stakes performers, including Carson’s Run, Gal in a Rush, Decorated Invader, Best Performance, Les Reys, Parnac, and Intricate Spirit, among others.

Price includes acquisition, training, veterinary, and insurance expenses until January 1, 2027.
