West Point is proud to partner in an elite investment fund created to acquire well-bred colts at the prestigious Saratoga and Keeneland yearling sales. Each colt was hand-selected by world-class bloodstock agent David Ingordo and will be developed under the guidance of multiple Grade 1-winning trainer Cherie DeVaux.

Each horse is syndicated individually, with West Point maintaining a 15% ownership position in every colt within the fund. This structure provides Partners with rare access to blue-chip prospects while offering the opportunity to diversify their equine portfolios strategically.

The West Point team added a colt from the second crop of McKinzie, one of the most accomplished racehorses of his generation. A multiple Grade 1 winner of over $3.6 million, McKinzie captured prestigious races like the Whitney (G1), Malibu (G1), and Pennsylvania Derby (G1), while finishing runner-up in the Breeders’ Cup Classic (G1). Now at stud, McKinzie is off to a fast start with Grade 1-winners Baeza, Chancer McPatrick, and Scottish Lassie, as well as graded stakes winner Cash Call.

This colt’s female family is equally impressive. His dam, Shan’s Tiger (by Tale of the Cat), is a half-sister to She’s a Tiger, Champion 2-Year-Old Filly of 2013, who won the Del Mar Debutante (G1) and finished a narrow second in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies (G1). Another half-brother, Smiling Tiger, was one of the toughest sprinters of the past two decades, earning nearly $1.5 million with three Grade 1 wins, including the Bing Crosby (G1) and Ancient Title (G1), before retiring to stud.

An Ontario-bred, he will also be eligible for Canada’s rich program of restricted races and bonuses, offering additional earning power.

Price includes all acquisition costs and all training, veterinary, and insurance expenses until January 1, 2027.
