Improving 3yo Colt Reagan’s Honor on the Mark at Fair Grounds / Monday, January 19, 2026

After a promising debut while crying out for more distance, Reagan’s Honor aced his first chance around two turns on Saturday at Fair Grounds, leading from start to finish in his second career start.

The 3-year-old colt earned an 81 Beyer Speed Figure, matching his stablemate Golden Tempo, who won the Grade 3 LeComte Stakes on the same card at Fair Grounds for trainer Cherie DeVaux.

Eclipse champ Flavien Prat piloted Reagan’s Honor and they took the initiative out front with fractions of 23.45 and 47.88.

Prat said, “He broke well so he took advantage of that and felt very confident all the way around. When I got to the turn he kind of dropped the bridle and I didn’t know if he was just done or taking a
breather and it’s really good because I asked him after that and he gave me a good response.”

West Point, Reagan Ingordo and Gabriel Duignan acquired Reagan’s Honor at the Keeneland September yearling sale through Reagan’s father, David Ingordo.
