Jaxon Traveler Keeps on Rolling for 10th Career Win / Friday, August 23, 2024

Jaxon Traveler answered the call again Saturday night, pouncing in the far turn and kicking away to win the open allowance by 2 lengths. The 6-year-old notched his 10th career win and improved his bankroll to $957,798.

JAXON TRAVELER bumped between foes at the start, chased in the two path, bid inside of the leader midway around the turn, and kicked on down the lane to inch clear.

Hall of Fame trainer Steve Asmussen said, “Next win will put him over $1-million!”

A multiple Graded stakes hero and Maryland-bred champion, Jaxon Traveler will move forward to the $100,000 David M. Vance Stakes run at six furlongs on the dirt on Sunday, September 29 at Remington. That one is shaping up as a rematch of the top two finishers from the Iowa Sprint Stakes, with Jaxon Traveler again taking on Necker Island.
