On the cusp of $1-million in career earnings, Jaxon Traveler left no doubt Sunday in securing that milestone as well as his 11th lifetime victory in the $100,000 David M. Vance Stakes at Remington Park.
The classy 6-year-old used his speed along the inside and shook free coming into the stretch, pouring it on to prevail by 3 1/2 lengths under Stewart Elliott for Hall of Fame trainer Steve Asmussen.
Jaxon Traveler has done it the hard way, winning stakes in all five seasons and now at six different racetracks. And he has gotten better along the way, with deft management from Steve and his team, racking up four wins (three stakes) in 2024, and more than $340,000 in earnings.
