Hounded on the front end, Lady Traveler turned back all challengers and powered away to a stylish maiden win on Sunday at Churchill. She was West Point’s third straight 2-year-old winner, joining Classic Colors (Belmont on Thursday) and Jaxon Traveler (Pimlico by 10 lengths on Friday).
Lady Traveler followed right up on a close third-place finish on September 4 at Churchill in her debut for trainer Dale Romans.
Joe Talamo guided the half sister to Grade 1 winner Heart to Heart, purchased as a yearling at the Keeneland September sale.
West Point races her with John Ballantyne, William Freeman and Michael Valdes.
