Best in the Ontario Fashion Stakes (G3) three weeks ago, Les Reys goes for a quick double in Graded stakes action at Woodbine on Saturday in the $150,000 Bessarabian Stakes (G3).
The gray 4-year-old filly out-finished her stablemate Gal in a Rush in a 1-2 finish for West Point and trainer Miguel Clement in the Ontario Fashion on October 11, prevailing by three-quarters of a length in a field of 8. The cast is larger this time with 14 in the main body of the field for the Bessarabian, along with two also-eligibles. Woodbine’s leading jockey Rafael Hernandez has the mount.
