Purchased as a yearling in 2021, Battle of Normandy broke his maiden at first asking as a 2-year-old at Saratoga. He was second in the With Anticipation (G3T) before running a respectable fifth in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf (G1T).

Winless as a 3-year-old, he came out firing as a 4-year-old, winning four in a row. His first graded stakes win came in the River City Stakes (G3T) at Churchill Downs.

He is trained by Hall of Famer Shug McGaughey.
