Sandman is a top contender for the 2025 Kentucky Derby (G1) after winning the $1.5 million Arkansas Derby.

The grey colt is by Tapit out Distoted Music and conditioned by Hall of Fame trainer Mark Casse.

Purchased at the 2024 OBS March 2-Year-Old in Training Sale, Sandman is owned by St. Elias Stable, D.J. Stable, West Point Thoroughbreds, and CJ Stables.

Griffin Johnson, a minority shareholder in racehorse Sandman via America’s Best Racing’s A Stake in Stardom influencer ownership initiative, has been enjoying a first-hand experience on the 2025 Kentucky Derby trail with Sandman.
