Oaks Trail Taking Shape for Super Corredora / Friday, December 5, 2025

Super Corredora continues to thrive coming out of her triumph at Del Mar in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies (G1). She’s been enjoying a well-deserved freshening, and all reports indicate that she’s doing great mentally and physically during this short break. The plan is to start tightening the screws again next week as we shift focus toward her 3-year-old campaign and the Kentucky Oaks trail.

John Sadler has mapped out a tentative—but exciting—road forward. The first target is the $100,000 Las Virgenes Stakes (G3) at one mile on dirt at Santa Anita on Sunday, February 1. That race offers early Oaks points and traditionally serves as a key launching pad for top Southern California fillies.

From there, Super Corredora would have two logical Grade 2 options at 1 1/16 miles on dirt later in the spring:

  • The $1-million Fantasy Stakes (G2) at Oaklawn on Friday, March 27.

  • Or the $200,000 Santa Anita Oaks (G2) at Santa Anita on Saturday, April 4.

Both races are major Oaks preps with serious points on the line, and the choice between them will depend on how she comes back into training and what seems most advantageous for her.

For now, the key takeaway is simple: she’s in terrific shape, the battery will start recharging into full gear next week, and we’re lining up a path that gives her every chance to build on a championship 2-year-old season.
