Pony Express has been ultra-impressive in two runaway wins at Santa Anita. On Saturday, he gets a chance to shine in stakes company at 6-to-5 odds for the Tokyo City at his home track in Acadia, California.

The son of leading sire Gun Runner was last seen controlling the pace and drawing off to a 6-length allowance win over this track and one-mile distance on June 15 at Santa Anita. He subsequently underwent a throat procedure and will have jockey Umberto Rispoli back aboard in the Tokyo City for trainer John Sadler.

Pony Express races for By Talla Racing, Three Chimneys Farm and West Point. He was acquired in the 2022 Keeneland September yearling sale.
