West Point Thoroughbreds enjoyed a breakthrough win at Gulfstream Park on Sunday with Sansone, who drew off to win his 4-year-old season opener by 6¾ lengths for Hall of Famers Joel Rosario and trainer Shug McGaughey.
Sansone graduated impressively after knocking on the door with two seconds and a third in three starts in 2025.
The Uncle Mo colt is a half brother to champion Midnight Bisou and Indiana Derby winner Verifying.
West Point campaigns him in a racing partnership with Woodford Racing and CJ Stables.
