Stakes Trio in Mid-Atlantic / Friday, June 13, 2025

Three stakes runners have marching orders for West Point Thoroughbreds between Delaware Park and Monmouth Park on Saturday.

Pascaline is signed on for the inaugural edition of the $200,000 Delaware Derby, adding blinkers after finishing third in the Bay Shore Stakes at Aqueduct and Long Branch Stakes at Monmouth in his first two starts as a 3-year-old for trainer Arnaud Delacour. Victor Carrasco retains the mount.

Dripping Gold also will be in action at Delaware Park, going a mile and a half on turf in the $200,000 Cape Henlopen Stakes for trainer Shug McGaughey. Jose Lezcano will ride Dripping Gold for the first time since a 6-length win in a Kentucky Downs allowance in September.

Shug McGaughey will have another grass performer in one of the features at Monmouth on Saturday with Signator and Samuel Marin going for their third win of the year together in the Monmouth Stakes.
