A super comeback unfolded in a familiar fashion with champion Super Corredora roaring back to her best on Sunday in the Grade 2 Zenyatta Stakes, at home on the lead and turning back all challengers in the “Win and You’re In” qualifier for the Breeders’ Cup Distaff (G1). This was an important hoofprint in West Point’s history: the stable’s 200th stakes triumph.

Hall of Famer Joel Rosario guided Super Corredora, who returned to action after receiving 60 days out of training to resolve bone bruising, which was diagnosed after she began 2026 with a pair of disappointing performances.

Super Corredora was sharp and went straight to the front Sunday, just as she did in a maiden win at Santa Anita last October, followed by a wire-to-wire crowning in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies (G1) at Del Mar.

Rosario said, “John told me don’t play around too much and go to the lead. She did unbelievable.”

Sadler said, “There were some nice horses in there so I was really thrilled with her effort. She had trained very well. I’d like to thank West Point for being really patient with her, and Becky Maker. That’s where she vacationed (at Becky’s Shantera Farm in Versailles, Kentucky). She came back in great shape.”

The win came almost exactly 31 years to the day since the stable’s first stakes win in 1995, which was courtesy of Big City Bound in the Miss Liberty Stakes underneath Julie Krone at the Meadowlands.
