Three Clement Stars Return to Action This Weekend / Wednesday, April 2, 2025

This weekend will be a relaunch for West Point’s talented trio of Carson’s Run, Gal in a Rush and Dontlookbackatall from the Christophe Clement barn, all looking to enhance their proven stakes credentials.

Carson’s Run is the 2-to-1 morning line favorite in Saturday’s Grade 2 Fort Marcy Stakes (G2T) at Belmont at the Big A. A Grade 1 winner at both 2 and 3, Carson’s Run will be making his first start as a 4-year-old. Regular rider Dylan Davis will be in the irons.

Gal in a Rush is a returning 6-year-old, aiming for more success north of the border in the Grade 3 Whimsical Stakes on Saturday at Woodbine. She prevailed there in the Grade 3 Hendrie Stakes last summer and was a finalist for a Sovereign Award as Canada’s champion female sprinter. Ryan Munger has picked up the mount for the Whimsical.

Dontlookbackatall is back for a 5-year-old season and will defend her title in the License Fee Stakes on Sunday at the Big A. Dontlookbackatall and jockey Irad Ortiz Jr. resume their combination that landed three straight stakes wins in 2024, including the Grade 3 Caress at Saratoga.
