Ties That Thrive: WPT Bloodstock Adviser David Ingordo and Counting Stars / Friday, April 24, 2026

The fingerprints of West Point’s bloodstock adviser David Ingordo are all over the pedigree of Kentucky Oaks contender Counting Stars

Not only did David sign the ticket at OBS April last year for Counting Stars, he also secured her sire Honor A.P. as a yearling, as well as Honor A.P.’s sire Honor Code. And that’s just the sire side.

For West Point, David acquired Counting Stars’ dam Paynterbynumbers as a 2-year-old in training. And going back to the Keeneland September yearling sale in 2010, he secured the broodmare sire, Grade 1 winner Paynter, as a yearling.
