Coinciding with the 30th season of West Point Thoroughbreds, last weekend the stable reached the $60-million milestone in all-time purses.

The current win total for the Black and Gold stands at 968, on pace to hit 1,000 wins during 2022. 

The Grade 1-winning warrior Awesome Gem owns the double distinction of the most wins (11) and most purse earnings ($2.88-million) from a West Point runner.

Now 18, the chestnut “Gemster” now resides at Old Friends Thoroughbred Retirement Farm in Kentucky.
