Integration Returns to Favorite Track as Arlington Million Favorite / Thursday, August 7, 2025

A big seven-day stretch for West Point Thoroughbreds that started with Ewing’s triumph in the Grade 2 Saratoga Special Stakes will culminate with Integration’s chance for a signature triumph on Saturday in the $1-million Arlington Million Stakes at Colonial Downs.

Integration is the 8-to-5 morning-line favorite for the Million. He is 3-for-4 lifetime over the course at Colonial, with the lone defeat coming in a second-place finish in last year’s Million. He began his career with a debut victory on the Arlington Million card in 2023 and followed that by prevailing second-time out in the Grade 3 Virginia Derby at the track outside Richmond.

Hall of Famer John Velazquez retains the mount on Integration after they finished second by a head in the Grade 1 Manhattan Stakes on Belmont Day at Saratoga. Shug McGaughey trains Integration, who was acquired as a yearling at the Fasig-Tipton Saratoga select sale in 2021.

West Point also has 3-year-old Maui Strong contesting the Grade 2, $500,000 Secretariat Stakes (G2) on the Arlington Million card at Colonial. Maui Strong has hit the board this season in the Grade 3 Transylvania Stakes at Keeneland and the Kitten’s Joy and Dania Beach Stakes at Gulfstream for trainer Dale Romans.
